Al Andalus – A Journey Through Seven Centuries of Islamic Spain

Hypsos has been appointed as a build contractor for temporary exhibition produced for the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque – the primary religious site and place of worship in Abu Dhabi, as well as one of the city’s major attractions welcoming 6 million worshipers and visitors per year.

“Al Andalus”, conceptually designed by Barker Langham, filled with a rich palette of media, films, audio and precious museum objects loaned from world-class collections, will offer a journey through seven centuries of Islamic Spain.

The exhibition will be built in the mosque’s arising visitor centre incorporating permanent exhibition, library and multimedia experience.

After being presented in Abu Dhabi for a one year, it will be touring through Europe and in the Middles East.
