Oman Botanic Gardens

Muscat, Oman

The Oman Botanic Garden, located 35 kilometres from Muscat and covering a territory of 420 hectares, has been designed to celebrate the Oman’s botanic diversity. The site, located at the foothills of the Al Hajar Mountains range, running parallel to the cost of the Gulf of Oman, besides an enormous garden will be also home to a visitors centre, education and research facilities.

Hypsos is currently working in Oman delivering the full exhibition fit-out and mediation: direction, production and installation.

The interactive route through the gardens, designed by Haley Sharpe Design studio, will lead visitors through eight different habitats found in the country and diverse landscapes of Oman, such as mountains, deserts, green and verdant wetland forest and uadi (canyons where there were ancient water courses). By means of interactive exhibits, films, multimedia and elegant objects’ display, the exhibition will educate about Oman’s rich native flora, endemic species at risk of extinction, plant conservation and local horticultural excellence.
