Frits Philips Music Centre

Eindhoven

Hypsos was appointed to advise the Frits Philips Music Centre in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, on their renewal plans to turn the Music Centre into a state of the art international cultural meeting place.
The music centre, named after the founder of the Philips concern, was designed by Miriam van der Lubbe and Niels van Eijk.
Hypsos was consulted for the integration of innovative and interactive technologies into the architecture. Hypsos advised and proposed state of the art video, lighting, sound and integrated architectural techniques for optimal music experience.
Examples include dynamic way-finding, programmable illumination and dynamically illuminated ceilings. Hypsos also provided project management and production for the project.
